Therapy may be a good fit if you notice:

• You feel stuck in patterns, thoughts, or emotions despite trying to change on your own

• Anxiety, low mood, stress, or past experiences are taking up more space than you want them to

• You keep thinking, “I should be able to handle this, but I’m not”

• Relationships feel strained, or you’re repeating the same conflicts

• You want clarity, tools, or support, even if you can’t fully explain why

• You have goals, but you need help getting there

You don’t need a diagnosis or a “big enough problem” to benefit from support!

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I want to challenge you to be your best self, while celebrating who you already are! I use EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and relational neuroscience research to support your goals, while honoring your unique experiences and strengths.

This depends upon the age of your child.

For most children 10 and younger: Therapy is a collaborative process between the child, the parent, and the therapist. Younger children are developmentally wired to respond to their environments, and will need adult support to change behavior, to change the environment, and to experience positive change. Parents need to be engaged in therapy with their young child.

For most teens 13 and older: Developmentally, teens need to separate from their parents - to see themselves as individuals. Teens more typically value privacy and are more able to make choices that can contribute to positive or negative change. I ask that you allow your teen’s therapy to be private unless they choose to share. I will break confidentiality to share safety concerns, and will facilitate family sessions as the need arises.

10-13 year olds fall somewhere in the middle.

Therapy scheduling varies depending on your goals and needs. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy, while others choose longer-term support.

Many clients choose to attend an hour of therapy weekly or every other week, but others need a more creative schedule - extended 2-5 hour sessions, weekend intensives, etc. I am willing to work creatively with you to find a schedule that works for you.

I’m in-network for commercial plans for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Priority Health, which means I can bill BCBS and PH directly. Contact your insurance provider directly for information about your benefits and the out-of-pocket cost to you.

If I cannot accept your insurance plan, you can choose to submit out-of-network claims to your insurance for personal reimbursement, or you can pay out of pocket (also known as “private pay”). I charge $165 for a 55 min session of therapy.

I offer sessions in person in Holland, Michigan and secure Telehealth sessions to people throughout the state of Michigan.
