The self-help books, social media reels, podcasts, articles, and even other therapies aren’t making enough of a difference.

Today is a good day to try something new.

I’m Brianne!

I work with individuals and families who feel like they are looping through the same patterns of disconnection and stress.

  • You feel the stress in your body.

  • Your kids are shutting you out or you don’t know how to talk to them anymore.

  • You feel yourself swinging between numbing and overreacting.

  • You don't know how to manage the behaviors you’re seeing at home.

  • You’ve held it together for so many years, and now those childhood experiences suddenly seem to be catching up with you.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, or want to involve others in your therapy process, let’s work together to build the support you need to refresh your relationships and lighten the emotional load you’ve been carrying.

I was first introduced to research and training on the nervous system and the body’s response to stress while teaching elementary school Spanish immersion. I became an expert in my school on child development, trauma, and behavioral science.

This learning led me to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from Cornerstone University, and eventually to transition from teaching to providing individual and family counseling in an agency setting in both English and Spanish.

Most recently I opened my own private counseling practice in West Michigan to continue serving the diverse needs of adults, children, and families in our community who are touched by trauma.

    • Complex trauma (CPTSD), also known as childhood trauma

Many other common diagnoses can actually be symptoms of trauma and would benefit from trauma therapy including:

    • Shame & self-worth

    • Identity issues

    • ADHD

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” -Isaiah 43:2

What to Expect:

  • Reach out via text message, email, or phone call. Expect to hear back within 24 hours.

  • Let’s chat for 10-15 minutes about what kind of support you’re looking for. This is a no-strings attached way for you to figure out if we’re a good fit.

  • Schedule a session to dive deeper into your specific situation, establish goals, and begin imagining change.

  • People develop in layers, are wounded in layers, and heal in layers. Engaging in therapy over time allows those layers to be discovered, addressed, and healed. Lasting change comes from long term commitment to personal work alongside a skilled therapist.
